BJP MLA Karsan 'Kaka' Passes Away at 68
Known for his simplicity and humble nature, the politician lost a long battle with blood cancer

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Kadi, Karsanbhai Solanki, 68, passed away from a prolonged illness early on Tuesday morning. People showed up to his residence to pay their final respects to the veteran leader.
According to BJP sources, Karsanbhai had been undergoing treatment for blood cancer at Ahmedabad Civil Hospital. Coincidentally, he breathed his last at around 2.30 am on World Cancer Day.
Elected as an MLA from the BJP in 2017 and 2022, Karsanbhai was widely respected for his simplicity and humility. Despite the position he held in office, he believed in living simply and was known for his soft-spoken and down-to-earth nature. He frequently travelled in government buses and declined offers of luxurious vehicles. His humble lifestyle earned him deep admiration and respect from the public.
He was also known as a true friend of the poor in his constituency. He personally took patients to Gandhinagar Civil Hospital for treatment and ensured they received proper medical care. Karsanbhai was often seen travelling in ST buses, which reflected his deep connection with the people. Locally, he was affectionately called "Kaka" (uncle) Karsanbhai Solanki.
