Raped by Son, 80-Year-Old Suffers Stroke

KUTCH: A distressing incident has surfaced from a village near Anjar, Kutch, where a 50-year-old man allegedly raped his 80-year-old mother. The woman, who suffered a brain stroke following the assault, is currently undergoing treatment at a government hospital.

According to police sources, the accused, reportedly an alcoholic, had a history of misbehavior and was known for harassing his mother for money. He had previously been booked in three alcohol-related cases at Gandhidham and Anjar police stations.

The assault took place on Thursday, February 27, in a village about five kilometers east of Anjar police station. Following the attack, the elderly woman sustained serious injuries and collapsed while being taken for medical treatment.

A complaint has been registered against the accused at Anjar police station. The case was brought to light after the wife of the accused’s younger brother filed an official complaint. The police are investigating the matter further.
