The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) released the results for the SSC (Class 10) examinations at 8 am on Wednesday. The announcement was made by state education minister Kuber Dindor, who had informed the public in advance through a post on platform X.&nbsp;
The board examinations were conducted between February 27 and March 10, 2025, at 989 centres across the state.
A total of 7,46,892 regular students appeared for the exams this year. Of these, 6,20,532 candidates passed, resulting in an overall success rate of 83.08%. This reflects a slight improvement over the 82.56% pass percentage recorded in 2024. In comparison, the 2023 figure stood at 64.62%, indicating a notable rise of nearly 18% over two years.
Girls continued to outperform boys in the examination. The pass percentage among female students was recorded at 87.24%, while male candidates achieved a pass rate of 79.56%. In terms of subject-wise performance, basic mathematics reported the lowest pass rate at 83.47%, whereas standard mathematics registered the highest with 99.35%.
District-level data showed Banaskantha leading with the highest pass percentage of 89.29%. At the other end, Kheda recorded the lowest district-wise performance with a 72.55% success rate.&nbsp;
In Ahmedabad, the rural region surpassed the urban area, with Ahmedabad rural posting a pass percentage of 82.58%, while Ahmedabad city stood at 79.95%.
Centre-wise, Mehsana&rsquo;s Kansa and Bhavnagar&rsquo;s Bholad reported the best performance, both recording a pass rate of 99.11%. Meanwhile, the Ambav centre in Kheda district recorded the lowest result with only 29.56% of students passing.
Among all regions, the Union Territory of Diu (Div) achieved the highest success, with 99.9% of its 546 candidates clearing the examination.
A total of 1,574 schools across the state recorded a 100% result. On the other hand, 45 schools registered pass percentages below 30%, highlighting ongoing disparities in educational performance.
For repeat candidates, numbering 78,613, the pass percentage was significantly lower at 32.26%. The Gujarat State Open School (GSOS) saw 18,553 students appear for the exam, with only 27.18% managing to pass.
Students can access their results online by entering their seat number on the official website,<a href="http://www.gseb.org/"> www.gseb.org</a>. Results are also available via WhatsApp by sending the seat number to 6357300971. Physical mark sheets can be collected from respective schools.
