Ola and Uber taxis in Ahmedabad will now have to pay more fare

Transporting in Ola and Uber taxis in Ahmedabad city will be expensive. The Ola company has accepted the condition of the taxi drivers to pay Rs 20 more per kilometer as the taxi drivers went on strike.

Which is likely to have a direct impact on passengers traveling by booking Ola and Uber taxis. Rickshaw and taxi drivers went on strike at the airport to protest against illegal white number plate two-wheelers operated by an online app. 

Taxi drivers don't agree to Uber price hike : 

Taxi drivers of Ahmedabad gathered at the airport. The strike of taxi drivers using the Ola app has been called off. While Uber taxi drivers have continued their strike.

The association is convincing drivers not to drive Uber taxis. The Uber app used to pay per kilometer, paying Rs 10, 12 or 15 per kilometer. Against this, the company has currently assured a 30 percent increase. But the Uber taxi strike is likely to continue as the taxi drivers have not been approved for the hike.

Ola taxi price hike will affect passengers :

Ola company has agreed to pay taxi drivers a fare of Rs 20 per kilometer. Which will have a direct impact on passengers than taxis to go from one place to another.

Passengers will henceforth have to pay higher taxi fares than before. As the drivers impose taxes including GST on the fare, the burden of price increase will increase on the pockets of the passengers.

The price increase will directly benefit the drivers : 

Ahmedabad City Taxi Union said that during the strike of Ola, Uber taxi drivers, the drivers were supporting the movement by dropping passengers. An attempt was also made to drop the passengers of the city taxi.

City taxi drivers did not support Ola and Uber taxi drivers. All drivers will benefit if the online application companies increase the price per kilometer. But as the burden on the passenger's pocket increases, more fare has to be paid.
