World's first CNG bike could prove to be a 'game changer', has a range of 330 km

Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG Bike: Launched on July 5, the Bajaj Freedom 125 bike is the world's first CNG bike. Union Minister for Roads and Transport Highways Nitin Gadkari was also present at the launch of this bike, which has both petrol and CNG fuel options. He praised this bike and called it a game changer. 

 How is the world's first CNG bike?

 Bajaj Auto has launched this bike in the commuter segment. But the team has done a great job on the look and design of this bike. But the first question that comes to the mind when looking at the bike is where the company has placed the CNG cylinder in the bike?

 Bajaj Auto claims the bike has the longest seat at 785MM. which largely covers the fuel tank at the front. A CNG cylinder is placed under this seat. Which has a capacity of 2 kg. Also the weight of the cylinder is 16 kg. The bike is given a strong trellis frame which makes it light and strong.

 The fuel mode will change at the push of a button

Running on both petrol and CNG, this bike will change the fuel mode at the push of a button. Also, these bikes can significantly reduce fuel costs and also reduce carbon emissions. 

What mileage will the bike give?

The bike has a 125cc petrol engine that generates 9.5PS of power and 9.7Nm of torque. As the bike runs mainly on CNG, the company has given only 2 liter petrol fuel tank in it. Which will act as a reserve fuel in a way. 

The company claims that the bike offers a driving range of up to 330 km on a full tank (petrol + CNG). Which gives a mileage of 102 km in 1 kg of CNG and 67 km in 1 liter of petrol.

 What is the showroom price of the bike and how can it be booked?

Bajaj Auto has also started bookings for the Bajaj Freedom 125. The base 'Drum' variant of the bike starts at Rs 95,000. The bike can be booked through the company's official website and official showrooms. Bajaj Freedom is equipped with features like LED headlamps, digital speedometer and Bluetooth connectivity.

The bike passed 11 different tests 

During the launch of the Bajaj Freedom 125, in a video released, the company claimed that the bike has passed 11 different tests. In one of the tests, the bike was subjected to a 'truck rollover test', in which the CNG tank was intact and the pressure was maintained despite being crushed under a truck tire.

 What did Nitin Gadkari say at the launch of CNG bike?

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, who was present at the launch event, emphasized the importance of reducing India's crude oil import bill and promoting alternative fuels. When it comes to the development of the automobile industry, he expressed pride that India has overtaken Japan to become the third largest automobile market. Apart from this, the price of the bike is Rs. He also made a statement to keep less than 1 lakh. So the bike will become more popular in the country.

The Union Minister said, 'CNG vehicles are cheaper and better for the environment than conventional petrol bikes. The operating cost of the new Bajaj bike is 50 percent lower than the ICE bike, as well as having a higher average mileage. Hence people will get their money back within a year.'
