Police have begun an investigation into the case.
In the 2022 Grishma murder case, accused Fenil Goyani killed 21-year-old Grishma Vekariya by slitting her throat in broad daylight on February 12, 2022. The murder was captured on mobile phones by around 25 witnesses to the brutal killing.
Goyani had been stalking the victim prior to committing the crime and took the extreme step after she refused to be in a relationship with him. He also stabbed Vekariya's brother and uncle when they tried to intervene and rescue her.
Goyani was sentenced to death for Grishma's murder by the principal sessions court, terming the case 'rarest of the rare'.
